Families of Homicide Support Group
Adults who have been impacted by the homicide of a family member or significant other are invited to join CVC on Tuesdays from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon for a Families of Homicide Support Group. The Group is meeting in Coatesville at the Community, Youth & Woman’s Alliance (CYWA) 423 E. Lincoln Highway. If you are interested in attending the Support Group in Coatesville or any other CVC Support Groups, please contact Tina O'Connor at 610-692-7420.
It is the goal of this support group to provide a safe and understanding environment where families and significant others can share experiences and exchange support and information through family-to-family interaction.
You might feel hesitant about meeting others and discussing feelings in a group setting.
A support group is designed to help you feel less isolated by connecting with other people who understand the impact a homicide has on the victim's family.
Please join us. We understand that attending this type of group can be difficult. Our hope is that once you have attended and met others who share a similar experience, the burden may not be so difficult to bear. You do not have to walk this road alone. Other Survivors as well as CVC Staff and Volunteers want to walk alongside of you.
This support group is intended for adults (over 18 years old) whose lives have been impacted by homicide. A CVC staff person will facilitate each group session.
CVC offers additional Families of Homicide Support Groups throughout the year. If you are interested in attending the above listed Support Group or any other of CVC's Support Groups, please contact Tina O'Connor at 610-692-7420.
