CVC’s outreach efforts are many and varied.

Through our Direct Services Program, we provide ongoing support groups for homicide survivors, non-offending parents of child abuse victims, adults who were sexually abused as children and teen girls who were sexually abused. We also offer workshops and programs for victims throughout the year.

Our major community event is our annual Candlelight Vigil and Memorial Service for homicide victims and law enforcement fallen in the line of duty. Held in April each year during National Victim Rights Week, this event draws families from far and wide to pay tribute to their loved ones and fellow officers.

Each year CVC offers two 10-week volunteer trainings for individuals in the community who want to volunteer as on-call sexual assault counselors.

As part of building awareness about the needs of victims of crime and violence and generating additional revenue to keep our programs and services operating, CVC holds a number of fundraising and ‘friend raising’ events throughout the year. Many have become Chester County traditions to the individuals and groups who support them annually.
